Abir Alsayed

Abir Alsayed is a filmmaker and producer who roams around the globe in search for stories concerning the Middle East, arts, culture, investigations, docu-dramas, life style, sustainability, women issues, to feature them in a variety of genres on TV and film.
With 24 years of experience, Alsayed has worked on an array of genres, such as documentary films, series, and investigative TV docudrama, TV drama series, music shows and comedy sketches. Alsayed’s experience includes programs that have been broadcast on Canadian Canal Savoir, MBC, BBC, SBC, Saudi TV, and Abu Dhabi TV among other TV channels.
Abir currently works as a consultant for the Saudi Broadcast Authority.
International Filming
Alsayed has directed a special short film on King Charles and the UK/ UAE relations, which was screened at the event to welcome King Charles to the UAE.
Throughout her career, she has filmed and interviewed prominent figures like Tony Benn, John Pilger and U.S presidential candidate Cynthia McKinney.
Apart from speaking five languages, travel has opened Alsayed’s eyes to new visual styles and ideas. She has filmed in numerous countries including Canada, the U.S., the UAE, Switzerland, the UK, Norway, France, India, Portugal, Syria, Egypt, Saudi and Germany.
